Teaching Philosophy
Jack believes in helping my students realize their musical potential by scraping away their preconceived notions of being “not musical,” or “not naturally talented,” and by encouraging the understanding that we are all just at different levels, working towards the same goal of musical competence. He also believes in creating a praxial music education environment. To him, that means being prepared, thinking critically, and reflecting on your teaching. He believes any and all students should be welcomed and encouraged to participate in music.
